A look inside Raaft’s manufacturing process

At Raaft, we are experts in providing durable modular terrace systems that will meet regulatory requirements. All of our steel landscaping products are manufactured in-house to ensure all products we send out meet extremely high specifications and quality control standards. Here is an inside look at our manufacturing process.

Materials arrive and are cut to size

Our steel materials arrive at the warehouse and are cut to size depending on the specifications of the project. These metals are either Corten or powder-coated to any RAL colour depending on preference making them durable for external use.

Folded to shape

Once cut to size, the steel is then folded into shape on a press brake with either straight line folds or curved corners. The panels have a unique folded design that ensures a strong retaining structure, but also keeps weight to a minimum making it ideal for the roof terrace application.

Welded together to form product

Once the panels have been folded, they will be transferred to the welding bay to be welded together, forming the final shape of the planter product. To ensure the final product is of the highest quality, the inside corners of our planters are linished to remove any excess material from the welding process, leaving completely smooth edges. This is a small attention to detail we pride ourselves on as it sets our products apart from other cheaper provider alternatives.

Sent off for internal quality inspection & delivered to site

Once the product is formed, it will be sent off for quality inspection to ensure it meets regulatory standards and is made to the correct specifications. If all is well, this product will then be sent off to be installed.
